Saw this today and loved it. It was a bit sweet, I suppose, with the inevitable happy ending, but the characters were very well drawn.
And Maggie Smith is excellent. She's always excellent! I've said it before (after watching Downton Abbey) that if I was gay I'd want to marry her. Bill Nighey (spell?) is also his usual good self, as is Judy Dench. A very pleasant way of spending the afternoon. Carmel

I saw the movie as well and I loved it,even if the ending was a bit sickly sweet. I found watching the move somewhat bittersweet when the colour and vibrancy of India was on the screen and my thoughts went to Raji. ![]()

I'm assuming it's a movie, Shelley. First I've heard of it.

After seeing the ads for it, am looking forward to seeing it, not only for the actors but the setting.

A woman that graduated high school with me has recently moved to India to be near the man that she met online. She loves it so far. The only thing she has complained about so far is the heat. I so wish Raji were still here so that I could "hook" them up. I know they'd have loved to meet. *sigh*
In any case, I'd love to see this movie too. They've just started the advertising for it here. Jan |
