Great. Thanks.
I'd do this, but...but...I don't have doors on my shower. :(

Poor kitty.
This is funny, why? Did you see the way he threw the cat on the floor of the shower? Did you see how happy the cat was to be wet? Sheesh.....So the point of this YouTube was what? To do something so you could get *on* YouTube? So you torture your cat
Cats really don't need to be bathed unless they get into something that they can't take care of themselves. Most vets will tell you that.
Lael, who will definitely hide this from her cat

Um...the cat being thrown around plus attached to the shower glass, the leg and the head was not a real cat. But you're right, even with a fake cat it's the warped side of humour. :p
The long-haired cats that go outdoors are more likely to get themselves nasty and be unable to properly clean themselves than shorthairs. No, they don't like it, but they get it. That and the seasonal funny chopped up patches on their fur when the burrs are too well in to extract without cutting.
I'm sure that the long haired breeds were never wild, but were human-created to look...like that. If they're allowed to run around in nature, their fur gets all messed up and needs a lot of grooming.
poor kitty - not funny.
But as an aside , the gal I work with has her long haired cat shaved each summer ....the groomer does it and her cat loves it!
I'd never laugh at her cat but it looks so silly when done ( google pictures of shaved cats and you'll see what I mean- that is shaved cats you google not shaved puss***- if you know what I mean!)

This was funny, but should have come with a "Don't try this at home" warning. In some scenes you could tell it was a toy cat. And long haired cats need to be brushed and combed immediately so they don't mat.
My mother bathes the cats in the kitchen sink... They make a lot of noise, but don't/can't fight much since she holds them by the scruff of their neck.

I am sorry..
Yesterday I just happened to run into that (long story, but a friend of mine is making a fool of herself over a women in another country..a much younger woman...and they both go to u tube and this younger woman makes tapes for my friend..which for some reason my friend sends to me..scares the hell right out of me frankly..my friend is going to get so hurt, I think!!.).......
but all that is beside the point.......My cat (one of 4, as my dear Bridget 16, died in November, leaving me so broken hearted)..anyways my cat Tinker was at the vets getting another ennema..and I saw this movie and the outragiousness of it, made me laugh....the cat really did not seem to mind..I know some cats even like baths..none were ever mine....but the thought of us trying this, well it made me laugh.
My cats will not even let us clip their nails..they run the house! We get any meds in a gell form that costs double as they will not take pills..now, Tinker, the cat getting the ennema, he has a slow system, so we give him gel on his ear every morning and then we put lactose syrup on his wet food tyice a day..this should work, except he does not like the lactose syrup, but the other cats do!!
We have this constant battle to try and keep Tinker open..we loose and he goes for an ennema....it is all insane..now I am adding oil to all the wet food and putting my fish oil I take, on Tinks food, as he likes fish a lot...It is a constant trying to out think the cats around this house!! Tinker is my really smart cat who taught himself to use the toilet..so he runs us a merry race.
The point is, I did not want to insult or hurt anyone here..and maybe it was poor taste, but I did think it looked like a loved cat, who did not really mind this....hell, I love cats!!!
I agree on the shaved cats..funny looking..at our cat only vet, you see it in the late spring..one we saw, practically got us on our knees laughing......huge, really huge grey cat..with a buzz like a poodle..little ball left on the end of his tail..and around his face..
my cats would have packed their little kitty bags and left home!!
Anyways, have a great day!
Tinker is so happy to be home

When I had my cat, I gave her baths. She was a long haired cat and back in those days, there was no Frontline or Advantage. Long haired cats cannot be dipped (they are missing an enzyme that allows them to tolerate the poison) and so, in Florida anyway, they got fleas. Lots of fleas. BAD fleas. She would scratch and scratch and be miserable. She would keep me awake and *I* would be miserable. The only thing I could do was bathe her periodically to get rid of the fleas. She hated it. Too bad. Cats who were allowed to suffer with fleas became severely anemic and died. Far better to piss her off with a bath than let her be slowly drained of her blood.
I thought it was pretty obvious that the cat in the video had a "stunt double." It never occurred to me that someone might actually do those things to a real cat. But I'm not a You Tube regular so I guess I've missed out on the gross and disgusting things some people put on tape. I thought, considering my own history, that it was pretty funny, actually. I never threw my cat against a shower wall or into the tub but I can't say the thought didn't sometimes cross my mind after she had thoroughly shredded my arms with her claws.
