this is just a rough draft, an answer to friends who do not understand why I would do this..and me who does not understand why they would not!
Why I do Daycare
Sometimes people say
I wouldn't do what you do
and I smile or they say
better you than me
and they are right
Better me......
I see miracles every single day
I get babys ...limp wobbly heads
just drinking
and sleeping
and pooping
and then they smile at me
they notice things
and begin to raise head
a head way to big,
an adult would not be able to lift it
But baby's try and try

and I see their strength growing
they start on food
and carrots are good!!
Spinach is good
even prunes
they don't know better!
you say UMMMMMMMMMM good
and they believe you
who else gets that gratification from a job
I see them turn over, whole new world!
and once there, struggle to turn back
It is an act of survival
adults would do well to copy
we forget the real survival of the fittest
from our beginning days
But I see it!!
I see that heavy little butt come up
in the air and it is the beginning
of freedom
and I see it
feel it through each baby
and sounds
a baby mimics and trys sounds
in such a free way
not caring how they twist
and turn their face
to get to where your voice is
Words come
and you play such a role in them
There is a feeling of forever in it, the spiral
the giving to the future
and I get paid for it!!
Until they are school age,
I are pretty much
a Goddess
after that
I earn urn money
